Creative Direction & Management
One thing that differentiates our work from other firms is our creative contribution and experience. Clients repeatedly return to work with us for this reason—we contribute to, and drive, the creative process. A common complaint we’ve heard from clients is that they used to work with an agency, firm or designer, and they always got back essentially what they sent over. The client might sketch up an idea on a napkin or put together a sample in Microsoft Word, and when they received the finished product back from the designer, it looked very much like what they sent over in the first place.
Well that doesn’t really sound like much of a problem now, does it? Well it depends on your perspective and expectations. If you already had in your mind what you wanted your ad design to look like, all the copy, layout and concept in your brain, and the designer just needed to put it into a format that will print well and add polish, then yes, this is a great solution.
But how often have you come to the conclusion that you need an ad design, a web site design, a logo design, a brochure design—and you just didn’t have any ideas. You needed something with “pop” but had no idea how to get there. You know your product or service, but you don’t know what makes that brochure jump off the table, or make you want to return to that site again and again. And if you hired an agency and spent thousands on a print campaign for your new product launch, and all they sent you back was what you laid out for them, well that seems like a waste of money.
Bill Schick Design provides full service design and marketing solutions. We will engage you in a discussion about your product or service, your customers, the market and your strategy—and then we will interpret that information and provide you with solutions that make sense. We do this for every project—big and small—logo design or web site design—ad design or email blast. And we’ve never had a client complain that they had to do too much of the creative work.
