Who We Are: About Bill Schick
We find that people want to know about Bill Schick, the man behind our brand.
Bill Schick grew up in central Vermont and was always interested in art, music and design. A year at Pizza Hut after high school inspired Bill to pursue other goals. He studied design at Newbury College in Brookline, MA, where he earned an A.S. in design with a 4.0 gpa, and later, attended night school at Northeastern University, where he earned a B.S. in Visual Communications.
Professionally, Bill began his career as a production designer, graphic designer, and head of the design department for The LAB in Cambridge, MA, which specialized in researching, packaging and providing information for Fortune 500® companies.
He then worked as a Design Consultant for The SCA Group in Chicago, where his responsibilities were those of a Senior Designer/Creative Director. Tier Technologies acquired The SCA Group, and Bill continued to work for Tier, designing a number of marketing pieces and user interfaces for its Global Project Management Office.
His next position was Creative Director for Crossroads Incentive Solutions in Beverly, MA, where he rebranded the company. Bill was then recruited by LeMaitre Vascular, a medical device company in Burlington, MA, where he helped prepare the company to go public, as the Creative Director.
At LeMaitre Vascular, Bill was tasked with developing creative strategy for the 23-year-old company. He designed two annual reports, 30+ brochures, the corporate web site, the roadshow presentation, a 20x20 tradeshow booth, and an untold number of direct mail campaigns (LeMaitre is known in the industry as THE direct marketing company). To this body of work, the CEO remarked, “The work Bill Schick has done has added $10 million dollars to the value of this company.” Bill knew then it was time to start his own firm.
Today, with 15+ marketing and design projects in development each month, Bill Schick Design is the premier, full service creative firm in New England. Please peruse some of our project samples and larger web site design projects. If you have any questions or comments on our site, give us a shout.
